I used qualitative Human-Computer Interaction lens to study the online experiences of Indian social media users including disability advocates, Instagram influencers, and journalists.

 

Internet Freedom Foundation | January - July 2021 

I started and led IFF's digital literacy team, through which my colleagues and I created 200+ multimedia explainers on online surveillance, platform governance and digital rights in India.

 

TikTok | May - Nov 2020

I worked in geopolitical and socio-political risk analysis in India and the US across events such as the TikTok ban, US Elections, BLM protests, and COVID-19.​
 

Other

• I was a research intern at J-PAL, where I helped refine and administer RCTs around labour force participation for a UC Berkeley based project.

• I worked as a teaching assistant at a summer school for gifted students, helping instruct courses in Digital Literacy, Math and Science.

• I have provided insights on new media + youth culture to orgs like Meta, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Snap, and Omidyar Network.
